I find the handle of the mug physically irritating and cutting into my hand, making it uncomfortable to hold. I have to wrap my hand around the body of the mug instead.
The handle of the mug has sharp edges that can dig into my fingers while holding it.

I bought this mug for my wife because she takes a long time to finish a cup of tea or coffee and ends up drinking cold liquid at the end. She doesn't like using the microwave to reheat. Now, it is hot to the last drop, showing my experience with the heat retention feature of mugs.
I was disappointed that the mug kept the bottom inch of coffee hot, but the upper half of the coffee was much cooler.
