For basic scouting, I don't need to adjust the focus as the monocular has a long field focus.
I have a monocular with a 30mm lens that provides a bright and wide field of view.
I had issues with the eye relief on another monocular, where I had to remove my safety glasses to get close enough to not have a huge black outer ring or no visibility at all.
I do not recommend this scope for night viewing.
