About Kensington MP13 MacBook Magnetic Privacy Screen for 13.3" MacBook Pro and MacBook Air
Overall Feedback:
73% positive
68% appreciated the adjustable viewing angle, but 32% found it limited
If you are not looking at the screen straight on or at a few degrees either direction, it will be black and look as if it is not even turned on.
I wish the screen was a bit darker on the privacy side. You can still see the screen, but not clearly enough to read what's on it.
The privacy screen made my touch screen feature very unresponsive on my touch screen laptop.
The privacy screen reduces screen brightness by about half.
75% liked how easy it is to clean, but 25% found streaks after wiping
The screen protector comes with a cleaning cloth and a thin sleeve for the film.
The privacy screen is easy to install and does not require adhesion to the monitor.
I love the magnetic component of the monitor which is reversible with a matte and glossy side.
I find it difficult to store on the back of the case, and it runs the risk of scratches and damage.
68% liked the wide compatibility with different monitors, although 32% had issues with their specific model
I found that the product is better than my previous generic brand privacy film on my phone because of the magnets that made the application seamless.
I can close the film with the lid attached, but the magnetic strip contacting the keyboard deck instead of the trim of the screen gives a different feel while closing.
68% praised for its durable construction, but 32% noticed it wore out quickly
If the screen is left at an angle of less than 90 degrees for a few seconds, the bottom of the protector sags down, indicating a lack of durability.
For me, the only drawback is that I wish it was a bit darker on the privacy side. You can still kinda see the screen but not clear enough to read whats on it.
After a couple of hours of use, my MacBook screen started to lift up off the protection screen, leaving a space between them and making it unusable.
Shortly after usage, the item started to decay, indicating poor durability.
75% found it easy to install
The installation process is super easy and no adhesion to the monitor is necessary, only to the bottom corners of the privacy screen.
The installation process is easy and it's magnetic, so I just line it up and it slaps right into place.
The installation process was easy and the magnets made it even easier to apply.
The installation process was super easy and only required adhesion to the bottom corners of the privacy screen.
Installation is very easy and adjustments can be made with no effort.
The installation process is easy and magnetic, making it simple to put on the monitor.
66% praised for its effective glare reduction
If you look at the screen from the side, it will appear black and turned off.
This product makes it almost impossible for anyone to read over my shoulder or grab critical data from my screen without permission.
70% appreciated the clear and vivid image, but 30% noticed a slight blur
If you view the screen at an angle, it will appear black and turn off. This is especially useful in public places where privacy is a concern.
After installing the product, it is useless for the designed reason of privacy. It also makes my own view look funny and very dimmed.
The colors appear washed out and lack the richness and depth they once had.
With the privacy screen on, the brightness decreases by about half and even with the brightness fully up, it is still quite dark.
70% liked the enhanced privacy protection, although 30% found it too restrictive
The privacy screen does an ok job keeping the screen private if the brightness is not on high.
I cannot comment on the privacy benefits of the product.
After a couple of hours of use, the screen started to lift up off my MacBook screen, leaving a space between the screen and the protection screen, making it unusable.
65% praised for its lightweight design, but 35% found it too bulky
The monitor anti-glare privacy filter is thin enough to not affect closing the computer or sliding into its case.
If I prefer to use my laptop at a specific angle, I may be concerned about the bottom of the protector sagging down if the screen is left at an angle less than 90 degrees for a few seconds.
86% liked the wide compatibility with different monitors

I find the anti-glare feature to be pretty good, not zero.
