I noticed that the Bounty Hunter 4 (BH4) failed to detect a small nugget even when it was rubbing against the standard 8" search coil, while both the Fisher and Tesoro detectors were able to detect the same nugget at a distance of 2 inches. This suggests that the search coil size and shape of BH4 may not be as effective as that of Fisher and Tesoro detectors.
