I have banged this watch a couple of times (not hard) and it is still intact. The paint (if it is paint) has not chipped and the glass has not scratched.
The watch is durable and has been through rough conditions like being whacked, bitten, thrown and fallen on. It still has some mud from the practice pen last weekend packed in the crevices.
