The coat is relatively thin but still really warm. I wore it in 25 degree temperature and felt fine. The wind also doesn't cut through it which is a big bonus. However, it is not water-proof.
I work in construction during the colder months, and this jacket is amazing at keeping me warm. The insulation is perfect for cold weatherit traps heat without making me feel stiff or bogged down. I can still move freely and comfortably while staying warm. This is exactly what I needed for outdoor work during the winter.
