Gildan is the best material for men's t-shirts as it holds its shape, doesn't shrink, and is a sturdy non-wrinkle fabric.
I have noticed that my t-shirt shrunk after being machine washed twice in cold water and tumble dried on low. It has also become less breathable and more faded than some items I have owned for years.
