In the women's pair, the bridge covers the foot to prevent it from sliding out while walking forward.
I noticed that the heel of the sandal starts sliding off the surface within 30 seconds of walking in them. This happens because of the slippery surface of the foot pad and the cheap plastic used in the top of the sandal which hugs the feet too tightly and squeezes them out of the sandal.
I ordered a size 11 of the product and liked its feel and support. However, the top of the product couldn't be adjusted to keep my foot locked in.
