About Men's Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoe
Overall Feedback:
97% positive
80% found the shoes waterproof, while 20% raised concerns
My shoes dried quickly after walking through creeks, waterfalls, and rain.
I need mixed terrain hiking shoes for fall/winter and walk 5-7 miles a day in all weather. I have used the shoes in different weather conditions and faced this problem.
80% liked the excellent airflow and ventilation
The shoe has good breathability and stays cooler than other cross trainers.
I did not face any problem with corns on the sides of my feet from tight fitting shoes while using Moab II shoes.
90% were impressed by sole quality, while 10% weren't satisfied
I like a wider toe box but need a locked ankle area. The Moab 2 is a little wide in the ankle and there is a bit too much give in there for me to feel 100% confident.
82% appreciate the slip resistant design, but 18% were dissatisfied
I find the shoes to have excellent traction on wet finished concrete and to be comfortable in hot weather.
I found that the shoes have slip-resistant soles that grip on almost every surface except for moss-covered wet rock. Additionally, I did not twist my ankles like I usually do, thanks to the construction of the soles.
On snow and ice, the shoes tend to slip a little due to the less aggressive tread. However, they are stable and grippy while going up or down hill on packed or icy snow.
95% found them to be extremely comfortable, while 5% experienced blisters.
The shoes have a mildly aggressive tread for secure stride and are comfortable out of the box. They perform well on frozen slush, packed snow, and wet pavement.
These shoes are the most comfortable ones I have ever owned.
The shoes feel heavy and tiring to walk in. After a few miles, every step becomes a chore, especially on pavement or dry flat trails.
The shoes have a strong grip and seem well made with solid and comfortable uppers. However, I am not completely convinced that they are suitable for 8-10 hour hikes for consecutive days.
I almost gave up until I found the Shulook Waterproof Shoes. After several weekends of walking around the trails on the local park and marsh, I found them comfortable to wear.
I have reservations about the tongue not being sewn into the sides. I have had situations where my Rover was covered from puddles of water during inclement weather conditions and my feet stayed perfectly dry.
