After washing the handkerchiefs, I noticed very minor shrinkage which indicates a tight weave and good quality thread, a sign of durability.
After washing and drying the handkerchiefs in hot water and high heat, I noticed that they shrunk an inch but did not come out wrinkled, which shows their durability.

I did not give 5 stars for softness because I have not used enough to break in yet. I believe that after several more washes they will soften up.
I am very pleased with how sturdy the cotton is, much more than I had expected.
