About Series 7 Electric Shaver Replacement Head
Overall Feedback:
96% positive
86% achieved precise trimming, though 14% were disappointed
The shaver starts out giving good close shaves but quickly dulls. After just a few times using it, it takes about 20 passes over each area to get a decent shave.
87% found it easy to replace
The replacement process is quick and easy and the new head is indistinguishable from the original.
Replacing the old head with the new one is very easy and there is an obvious release button.
The replacement process is very easy - just pull the old one off and put the new one on.
88% liked the durability, but 12% felt the heads wore out too quickly
I am now a believer in the new metal retaining ring design. It is durable and worth it.
I noticed that the metal sheet of the head is too thin due to long term use. I wonder if it's worth replacing.
I am unhappy with the durability of the cassette as I have used it per instructions and it dulls quickly, this is my third cassette.
I found the claim of 18 months durability of the head dishonest and expressed dissatisfaction.
82% appreciated the easy cleaning, but 18% found it time-consuming
I clean my razor after every shave by rinsing it with water, using a towel/blow dryer, and then using the Braun machine cleaner.
I clean the head and body of my shaver with water and alcohol after every shave and use the cleaning machine once a month. I also empty the fluid container and refill it with water and alcohol. Additionally, I replace the stopper after every cleaning to prevent evaporation of the liquid.
I have a tip for cleaning the electric shaver head without using many cleaning cartridges. Use an old toothbrush and running water to clean the cutting elements and the head once a week or so. Then use the cleaning cycle of the cleaning base only once a month or so to disinfect it. This method is effective and keeps the head cleaner for longer.
Putting the brush in the cleaner only lasts for 2-3 weeks and hand rinsing only gets 10% of the bristles.
88% liked the blade sharpness, but 12% didn't
I experienced unpleasant shaving nicks on different occasions with this last one, indicating that the blade sharpness was not up to the mark.
The shaver starts out giving good close shaves but quickly dulls. After just a few times using it, it takes about 20 passes over each area to get a decent shave.
The blades tore the whiskers, indicating poor precision cutting.
