About Smartwool men's Liner Glove
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
85% appreciated the adjustable cuff, but 15% found it difficult to adjust
I found that the size small was not perfect for me as my fingers were too short, leaving 1/2 to 3/4 inch of space at the finger tips. I returned and replaced it with size extra small which worked better for me. Now I can perform manipulations much better with these liners.
The sizing of the glove was not accurate for my large hands and the material at the fingertips made it difficult to do anything requiring dexterity, let alone operate a phone.
I find the placement of the seam on the thumb of the gloves uncomfortable and it makes it difficult to use the thumb on a touch screen. This is a specific problem I faced based on my experience with the product.
I can tolerate the gloves with too long fingers.
92% liked the breathable design, but 8% experienced moisture buildup
I expected the gloves to have no wind protection due to the material used.
79% liked the stylish design, but 21% found them unattractive
The gloves in the photo may look tailored and tapered to fit the curves of the hands, but they are not.
The gloves look good but are not warm and hardly even wool.
The fingers of my glove feel narrow, tight, and long.
My largest complaint is the placement of the seam on the thumbs. It goes perpendicular to the nail, traveling down the thumb, making it uncomfortable and odd to use my thumb on a touch screen.
74% appreciated the durable construction, though 26% experienced wear and tear
After wearing the gloves for just one day, I noticed that the knit fabric began pilling hard, indicating poor durability.
I find the placement of the seam on the thumbs uncomfortable and odd when using a touch screen.
83% liked the comfortable fit, but 17% found them too loose
I found that the size small was not perfect for me as my fingers were too short, leaving 1/2 to 3/4 inch of space at the finger tips. I had to return and replace it with size extra small which worked for me.
The gloves are large in size, but only in finger length.
The glove fingers are too long and the fit is tight around my hand circumference with ~3/8 extra length on the fingers.
I ordered size L but the fingers were too long for me.
73% praised for its exceptional warmth, while 27% found them insufficiently warm
The gloves keep my hands warm at 40-30 degrees for a short period, which is long enough for my walks.
The gloves do a decent job of retaining body heat but have zero wind protection, which is expected with this type of material.
79% appreciated the lightweight design, but 21% found them too heavy
The gloves are made of thicker material and would be too warm for 50F days.
I found that the size small was not perfect for me as my fingers were too short, leaving 1/2 to 3/4 inch of space at the finger tips. I returned and replaced it with size extra small which worked better for me. Now I can perform manipulations much better with these liners.
The gloves are not suitable for tasks that require fine manual dexterity like texting. However, I would still highly recommend them unless I need to perform such tasks.
I have used the gloves to touch snow and ice and my hands did not get wet even after a trip to Laramie, WY in a snowstorm.
