About SHARP Mechanical Drafting Pencil, 0.9 mm, Yellow Barrel, 2/Pack
76% found the pencil weight balanced
For my writing needs, the 0.9 mm lead is perfect as I have a heavier writing style.
75% appreciated the refill mechanism, while 25% found it cumbersome
I have found that many mechanical pencils are problematic to reload with leads and get working again. I have to disassemble the tip and clear it and insert a lead carefully in reverse to get it to work. However, I have found that Pentels are the most reliable and I always keep a few on hand.
The pencil comes with 5 extra leads and can be used for a year before refilling.
I find that the 0.9mm lead writes smoothly and refill packs are easy to find.
My pencil is no longer useful because the lead no longer feeds and it can't be written with.

75% liked the precision for fine writing
I was worried that the lines would be too bold or thick, but for my handwriting, it turned out to be fine.
When marking wood for cabinets and other detail-oriented projects, I find pencils to be more accurate and easier to use.
When drawing against a marking instrument, such as an indexed marking gauge or straight edge, I can hold the lead precisely in place.
The lead size is perfect for making precise yet visible marks on rough lumber, and it is also durable enough not to break easily.

76% found the lead variety useful
I was surprised to find that the mechanical pencil came with several leads, which is not common with most mechanical pencils that only come with one lead.
76% found the lead smooth, but 24% encountered issues
The 'lead' no longer feeds, making it absolutely useless now.
I have noticed that the lead in this mechanical pencil does not move around like others because of the long metal guide.
75% praised the lead durability
I rarely experience lead breakage with the .9mm lead size.
The lead feed is reliable, the body is nearly indestructible, and the grip is just right for me with medium sized hands.
For my use, the extra couple fractions of a millimeter add strength to the pencil, making it perfect.
74% liked the grip comfort, whereas 26% found it uncomfortable
Mechanical pencils have a nice solid feel and a narrow enough barrel to slip behind my ear or fit in my shirt pocket without so much bulk.
The pencils feel comfortable in my hand and are perfectly balanced.
The pencil grip is perfect for someone with medium sized hands and the body is nearly indestructible.
I prefer using my Dr. Grip pencil with a soft finger grip for long writing periods as the grip comfort of my mechanical pencil is thin.

75% appreciated the eraser quality, however 25% didn't
The built-in eraser is of high quality, but not good enough.
83% appreciated the clip strength
The pencils stay clipped to papers, notebooks, etc.
The pencil is almost bulletproof and has fallen off the clipboard multiple times onto a concrete floor without any issues.
84% liked the barrel design
My favorite feature of the pencil is its plastic barrel that doesn't shatter or spider when dropped from a height of 30 or 40 feet.
