About Pentel Graph Gear 1000 Pen, 0.5mm (PG1015)
88% liked the barrel design, but 12% found it unattractive
I dropped the pencil and noticed that the material used to thread into the upper barrel is a poor selection as it broke. Rephrased: The material used to thread into the upper barrel is a poor selection as it broke when I dropped the pencil.
I am discontent with the design of the mechanical pencil as Pentel did not take proper care in protecting the lead.
When I use this pen for writing, I don't notice much difference in weight or size compared to the previous generation PG1005. However, when I try to draw with it, I feel that the barrel swings too much and it feels clunky.

93% liked the precision for fine writing
The pencils feel precise and controlled with a nice weight.
The clicker advances the lead about 1/2 the length of other mechanical pencils, giving me more precise control over the length.
The pencil is smooth and precise.
88% found the lead smooth, but 12% encountered issues
Last week, my product started to malfunction. I had to press the top of the pencil forever to get just a bit of lead out and when trying to write, the lead would retract within the body. This happened even with a brand new lead.
The lead hardness indicator is very hard to move.
88% praised the lead durability, yet 12% found it broke easily
I prefer using this pencil over others because of its metal sleeve that protects the lead, making it accurate for use with drafting tools.
I am confident in the unit's build quality and durability.
After 6 months of usage, the lead of the product would retract within the body and wouldn't come out even though it was brand new.
I find the action of the lead hardness window extremely hard.
96% liked the grip comfort, whereas 4% found it uncomfortable
The pencil grips are still well situated with no signs of deteriorating anytime soon.
I like the grip design and the stability when using the pencil.
I find the quality good and it feels comfortable to write with. It is also stable and excellent at graphing.
The grip is comfortable even with sweaty hands.

89% appreciated the eraser quality, however 11% didn't
The pencil is erasable and doesn't smudge.
I faced an issue with the pencil as it does not have an eraser on the end.
77% appreciated the clip strength
I love that the pencil's tip can be retracted, allowing it to be clipped over a pocket edge.
The clip causes the tip to retract into the pen, protecting it from getting bent.
I clip it on the inside of my laptop bag with a wide-mouth and firm clasp to keep it attached and the tip needs to retract so it doesn't poke a hole.
