I tested the thermometer in ice water and boiling water and it gave the wrong readings. However, when tested again in the morning, it gave the correct readings.

I had a bad experience with a previous wireless Bluetooth 4 probe thermometer that gave false readings and ruined meat on the smoker. This led me to replace it with this one.

I smoked the sausage all day, including after dark, and found the thermometer hard to see outside. I wished the backlight could be left on constantly, but I understand it would wear down the battery quickly. Based on my experience, I have negative feedback regarding the battery life of the meat thermometer.
