This mattress is the perfect mixture of soft and firm. I used to wake up with bad back pain with my last mattress, but with this one, I feel like a new person because I don't wake up with that pain anymore.
I realized that a firm bed is perfect for me after trying beds at the store. I am 5'1" and about 117lbs, and I don't make much of a dent, so I didn't want to sleep on a rock. But with a mattress cover, it would be fine. The 'pillow top' on this mattress is perfect.
My wife and I sleep in our own divots in the bed and wake up with a backache most days. I even woke up with shooting pains due to poor support.
