    It was sent out of California to Japan.

    Yes, it has the Universal Quality TradeMark.

    Is universal quality better than culinary grade?

    On the Maeda-en website it says the Culinary matcha is a lighter green in color, and that it's made specifically to be combined into food recipes, such as ice cream, so it will probably taste a bit bitter.

    Is maeda-en matcha green tea booster made with sugar from the fruit because I am staying away from it?

    A:

    This tea is ground into a fine powder and there is no sugar or fruit included.

    I just ordered some and the expiration date is Januaryurary 2019. Does this expire quickly or did I get a very old batches?

    A:

    I don't think you will find the product useless, it's factory sealed and it's a very fine powder.
