I lengthened the handle of the manual-weeder by removing the black plastic top of the existing pole and inserting a standard screw handle. This removed one of the major drawbacks and now I am able to use it without any pain. The screw end fits the inner grooves of the existing pole.
I suggest the company offer a long handle version or a connecting rod for added leverage to remove deeply rooted plants without bending or sitting.
If the weed remover had a 4.5 or 5 ft handle and was just as sturdy, I would give it 4 stars.
