About AMES 2915300 30 Inch Brown Double Blade Weed Grass Cutter with Hardwood Handle
Overall Feedback:
78% positive
80% appreciated the adjustable handle, while 20% found it stuck
My only gripe with the tool is that the handle is about 4 inches shorter than I would like.
78% appreciated its robust build, though 22% experienced breakage
I have used this manual weeder for years and had a previous one that I owned for over 20 years. I was reluctant to order a new one because I thought they don't build them like they used to. But I was wrong and this new one is just as strong and has the same weight as the previous one.
I tried to cut the weeds and light brush down to about one inch above ground level and the tool struck the ground more than a few times in sandy and rocky soil with no signs of damage to the tool itself.
The handle seems well-made and durable, but I can't say for sure yet.
I noticed that the toe nut had come slightly loose by the end of the usage, but it could be easily tightened back up.
The toe nut came loose but can be easily tightened back up.
The tool is expensive and needs to be rebuilt soon after purchase.
83% found it easy to maneuver
The tool is sturdy and can whack through thick weeds in one swing. It is also quieter than a motorized weed whacker. Weeding with this tool is a peaceful workout that does not bother birds and other critters.
81% appreciated the low maintenance
These manual-weeders work without gas or electricity and are low maintenance.
80% praised for its effective weed removal, but 20% found it left some behind
I cleared two acres of weeds and light brush in just over three hours with this efficient tool.
I noticed that it requires a lot of force to cut even thin weeds in a dry meadow, indicating that the weed removal efficiency is poor.
The weed removal efficiency is poor as even thin weeds in a dry meadow require a lot of force to cut.
77% liked its lightweight design
The new weeders I purchased have the same weight and strength as my previous one.
I can now get to weeds in tight corners and behind my rose bushes with the adjustable weeder.
