I installed a compartment door in my vintage 1948 Boles Aero camp trailer and needed a way to hold it open while loading and unloading items. I used two magnets connected together with a short length of stainless rope and placed a small piece of ferrous metal on the inside where I wanted the magnet to attach. It works great!
