I always use the Petzl William carabiner, specifically the Triact-lock mechanism. I prefer it over screw gates and it's great for using the Munter Hitch in climbing scenarios. The wider section of the carabiner also makes it easier to use tape. Overall, it's a fantastic carabiner with no complaints.

I purchased the William carabiner for two reasons. Firstly, the tape fits great on the wider section of the William, making it easier to get the tape to unroll. Secondly, the large carabiner allows for the Munter Hitch (Knot) in Belay and other climbing scenarios, which is important for lead climbing.
