I have used less expensive aluminum carabiners in the past and they eventually broke into two pieces. However, these steel carabiners have not worn through and broken like the aluminum ones.
I have used less expensive aluminum carabiners in the past and they wore through and eventually broke. However, I do not have that issue with these steel carabiners.
After 3 months of heavy use and even rigging close to the recommended WWL, the carabiners are still working like new.
