About ALITOVE 5V 5A AC to DC Power Supply Adapter Converter
Overall Feedback:
72% positive
67% liked the compatibility with various lighting systems, but 33% experienced some limitations
The voltage is not adjustable and not compatible with my application's maximum voltage of 5.2 VDC.
I have noticed that the power supply adapter is causing power fluctuations to the LEDs due to a grounding issue.
70% appreciated its performance in harsh environments, but 30% experienced some limitations
I tested the device with various loads, including alitove LED strips and a 1 Ohm restive load. However, it did not perform as expected, and I expressed disappointment with its performance.
At 250, the voltage drop was significantly high and the pixels misbehaved. Even at 100, the voltage drop was near 3.5v.
69% liked the easy installation process, while 31% found it complex
I have personally faced power fluctuations in the LEDs due to a grounding issue in the power supply adapter. Whenever I touch the brick, the LEDs strobe erratically.
I experienced a problem with the device when I plugged it in. It destroyed my 300 RGB LED strip and a micro-controller.
72% praised for its quiet operation, but 28% noticed a slight humming noise
I did not mention the noise level of the lighting-low-voltage-transformers.
I have received a unit with noticeable ringing and whine noise during use.
When all 144 elements were at full brightness, the strip would flicker like crazy because the PSU output had dropped to ~3.8VDC.
64% praised for its energy-efficient design, while 36% noticed a slight energy loss
For currents over 1A, the power supply is not efficient.
67% found it to be highly reliable, but 33% experienced occasional issues
My AC plug is loose and comes out with slight movement of the power brick.
For currents over 1A, the power supply is not reliable.
I gave a 1-star rating because the power supply is not reliable and not a 15 Amp supply.
I have complained about the grounding issue in the power supply adapter causing power fluctuations to the LEDs.
I noticed that the voltage drops quickly before reaching 15 A, which is not in line with the specifications.
65% appreciated the built-in safety features
If the unit whines or rings during use, ALITOVE will take care of it.
63% appreciated its stable voltage output, although 37% noticed occasional fluctuations
When powered up, the power supply produces 5.4 VDC which exceeds the maximum voltage specified by the application (5.2 VDC) and is not adjustable.
At 250, I measured the output voltage at 2.2v with significantly misbehaving pixels. I wouldn't go above 100 as the voltage drop is measured near 3.5v.
I found that the power supply is not suitable for currents over 1A.
I expected the voltage to remain constant but the voltage regulation was not proper.
77% liked the compatibility with various lighting systems
78% appreciated its stable voltage output
