About PANGTON VILLA Led Strip Lights 6.56ft for 40-60in TV, USB LED TV Backlight Kit
Overall Feedback:
77% positive
71% praised for its strong adhesive, but 29% experienced peeling issues
The adhesive of the lighting strip is holding up well after a week, but I am unsure about its long-term performance.
After cleaning the surface, I found that the adhesive was not strong enough to stick the lights onto the TV.
I would not recommend the product due to the issue with adhesive strength.
The adhesive for the clips doesn't hold onto the back of my TV. They've fallen off numerous times, even after being put up just under 48 hours ago.
78% appreciated the variety of color options, though 22% wished for more choices
I am only able to access half of the colors. The other colors do not show.
The first three bulbs are not the correct color. When I select purple, it turns blue and when I select green, it still turns blue. I couldn't find anyone else reporting this issue so it may be rare.
70% appreciated its long-lasting durability, though 30% experienced premature wear
I am confident that the LED strip is lightweight and flexible, and the tape will hold it in place without any issues.
I have found that one of them is durable enough to survive three moves, including one across the country.
I have multiple sets of these lights and the first sets have a nice fade setting that slowly fades into the next color.
After installing the strip, I noticed a tear on one of the sides which messed up the LED lights on the rest of the strip continuing from the tear.
I had the same LED strip for a couple of years and it died after 2 years. I liked it.
Rephrased:
My LED strip lasted for a couple of years before it died, but I really liked it.
I have used the product before without any issues, but the latest set has a bad whining problem.
75% found it easy to install and set up, while 25% struggled with the process
Installation was super easy and it looks great, except for the bulb color issue.
Installing and putting up the led-strip-lights was very easy.
It was easy for me to install and the perfect length for my 55" TV.
I found the installation process fairly easy, except for bending the strip in corners. It's easier if the TV is not already mounted. Care should be taken not to pull too tightly.
71% liked the flexibility of the strip, although 29% found it too stiff
Installing the lighting strip was fairly easy, except for bending it around corners. It's easier if the TV isn't already mounted. Just be careful not to pull too tightly. The adhesive seems to be holding up well after a week, but I'll keep an eye on it in the upcoming months.
I compared the previous version with the current version and found that the previous version had flexible connectors which made bends and corners easier, while the current version is a continuous roll which is difficult to bend.
I had to buy extra stick on hooks for the second one because it had weak sticky part and different connectors.
The four settings 'Flash', 'Strobe', 'Fade' and 'Smooth' flicker incredibly fast, which is suitable for a party or can cause seizures.
The 'smooth' option flickers really fast through the lights and is not smooth.
77% praised for its wireless control feature, but 23% experienced connectivity issues
I ordered the product twice and faced the same issue of high pitched ringing sound in every color except the basic RGB. Despite having high hopes when the second order did not have connectors, the issue persisted.
The remote doesn't work across the room.
To make it change, I need to point towards the WiFi part of the cable strip and exaggerate pushing the buttons.
The adhesive has no signs of not sticking to a regular painted wall and is very strong.
