With compact fluorescents, the yellow glow is very common, which makes them a terrible fridge bulb alternative.
This one is brighter, and whiter than the old one, but I replaced it because it failed a week later.
When you open the door to the fridge, you will see that it is easier to see than the old ones because the bulbs are much brighter and whiter.
The rendering is beautiful, despite the fact that the temp is 5000K, and the bulb is somewhat brighter than 40W incandescent bulbs which probably dimmed with age.
