About Makita XBU05Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Blower
Overall Feedback:
75% positive
88% were satisfied with the air nozzle design; however 12% found it awkward
I have noticed a design flaw in the air nozzle of the blower. The air intake is on the left side, which is inconvenient for right-handed people. If the blower is too close to the side, it sucks up against you, causing no air to go in and therefore no air to come out. To avoid this issue, it is suggested to keep the blower at a distance from the side.
86% appreciated the airflow capacity
I love how easy it is to hold and maneuver the leaf blower with one hand.
92% found the battery long lasting, yet 8% experienced rapid drainage
The battery life is great and it works easily on 36 tee pads, cleaning debris off patios, driveways, sidewalks, and garage doors for a long time.
I already have the Makita platform, so it's a shared battery.
After a dozen or so uses, the battery would not last long after 5-10 min max.
94% found it light in weight
My 5 year old daughter loves using it and maneuvers it easily.
87% highlighted the maintenance requirements
The leaf blower does not shoot debris back at me and does not lift up and sharpen edging.
92% liked the motor performance, while 8% didn't
I find the leaf blower good for clearing a patio or car of leaves, although it is not very powerful.
I noticed the motor emitting a burning wire smell and then it almost stopped working.
Rephrased: The motor emitted a burning wire smell and almost stopped working.
89% found it silent to operate, althrough 11% experienced loud vibrations
I did not find any mention of the leaf-blower's silent operation in the review.
85% appreciated the speed levels
I found level two to be the best balance for wind speed and battery life, but level three is more fun.
I used the leaf blower on high speed for almost 30 minutes with a battery that has been in my drill for months. I can't comment on the battery yet.
86% were satisfied with the storage, althrough 14% weren't
I haven't mentioned anything specific about the storage of the leaf-blower.

I recommend buying big batteries like 9ah ones as they will go through pretty quickly. A fully charged 9ah battery lasts about 15 minutes if you are going non-stop.
I suggest rotating the extension tube slightly so that the projection at the top rides up on the ridges to keep it in place while using the blower.
