About Makita XBU03SM1 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Blower Kit
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
84% found the battery long lasting, yet 16% experienced rapid drainage
The Makita LXT 18v batteries and chargers fit right in and the battery life is decent. This leaf-blower is stronger than other brand, single battery units I have tried.
The battery life of this leaf-blower is very short, lasting only 5-6 minutes.
I am dissatisfied with the battery of the leaf-blower as it takes hours to do a simple clean up around the yard.
I am dissatisfied with the battery of my leaf-blower. After 6 months, it lasts only about 10 minutes and takes more than an hour to recharge. Both of my batteries are weak.
I have noticed that the battery life of the leaf-blower is not up to the mark. It only lasts about 30 minutes even when I use it on full force. I gave the unit only 3 stars for 'Battery Life' because with today's technology I think that the battery should last much longer.
83% were satisfied with the air nozzle design; however 17% found it awkward
I am satisfied with the air nozzle design of the blower as it is powerful and efficient in blowing out the shop, cleaning the decks, and even blowing off light dry snow on the ranch.
I have noticed that the air nozzle design of the leaf-blower is not perfect. When I hold the blower right in front of me, it sucks my pants in towards the intake. I purchased an extender to bring the air pressure closer to the ground.
87% liked the motor performance, while 13% didn't
I am satisfied with the motor performance of the Makita XBU03SM1 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Blower. It is powerful and works great for blowing out the shop, cleaning the decks, and even blowing off light dry snow on the ranch.
The battery on this Makita blower doesn't operate very long and takes over an hour to recharge. I compared it with the batteries on my Black and Decker yard equipment, which usually ran closer to 30 minutes before they had to be recharged.
95% found it light in weight
I appreciate the light weight of the leaf-blower, which is due to the use of cheap plastic, making it easy to handle.
The Makita LXT 18v batteries and chargers fit right in and the battery life is decent. This leaf-blower is stronger than other brand, single battery units I have tried.
I couldn't tell the difference between the two leaf-blowers in terms of airflow capacity, despite one being rated at 250 mph and the other at 230 mph.
