I recommend using 5A or higher batteries with this leaf-blower as it is surprisingly powerful and perfect for blowing leaves out of gutters, garage, patio, etc. However, it is not suitable for larger areas due to the limited battery life.
I contacted DeWalt Customer Service and learned that Max Flex batteries fit, but they require a 5 Amp battery that runs for approximately 17 minutes before needing a recharge or replacement.
After initially considering returning the blower due to its under-powered performance and short battery life, I found that it is now my go-to tool for small jobs. I also discovered that by not running it at full-tilt all the time, I was able to extend the battery life.

I am disappointed with the air velocity of the leaf-blower as it is not powerful enough to lift fir needles off a damp driveway/walkway.
