The accuracy of the laser-distance-meter is good but not perfect. One should watch out for user error like taking the wrong reading or bumping the tool in use.
I have noticed that the laser is difficult to see in bright sunlight and doesn't work most of the time. I also get a 255 error which I assume means too much light or too bright in the optics. This shows my negative sentiment towards the accuracy of the laser-distance-meter.
