Overall Feedback:
86% positive
86% praised for its high accuracy, while 14% experienced inconsistent readings

With a fresh pair of batteries, this tool became my go-to for many construction projects. It's a great buy with all its features and benefits.
I have put the laser distance meter through some paces and found it to be extremely accurate.
The device defaults to meters when turned on, which is useful for people living outside of the US. However, I have to change the setting every time I turn it on to get feet and inches.
I have to long press the units key to switch to another unit as there is no option to set the default unit.
I have complained that the Always On function of the laser-distance-meter shuts off after 30 seconds and stops measuring.
86% praised the automatic calibration feature, although 14% experienced issues
The device works very well and comes close to my tape measure.
The laser distance meter is very accurate but has default settings that need to be changed to get ft and inches, which can be inconvenient for US residents.
86% appreciated the long battery life, though 14% experienced shorter battery life
The batteries included with the device died in less than a month, even though I never used it.
When taking measurements outside in bright sunlight, the device is useless.
I find it very annoying and am returning the device because of the misleading primary picture displaying feet.
The Always On function stays active for about 30 seconds before shutting off the laser and stopping measurement.
82% found the display to be clear and easy to read, but 18% struggled with visibility
The biggest issue with the display is that it is unreadable outside in normal daylight, even on overcast days.
To switch between units, I have to long press the units key as there is no option to set the default unit.
The internal angular mechanism is defective and does not allow measurements using an angle as part of the calculator, indicating poor display clarity of the laser-distance-meter.
85% liked the rugged and durable design, but 15% experienced damage
After replacing the batteries, this product has become my go-to tool for many different construction projects. It was a great buy for all the features and benefits it provides.
The case that came with the meter is poorly designed as it turns on automatically when slid in.
84% found it easy to operate, while 16% struggled with the interface
The internal angular mechanism is defective and does not allow measurements using an angle, making vertical measurements difficult to measure accurately.
The biggest issue with the product is that the display is unreadable outside in normal daylight, even on overcast day.
I find it difficult to measure on anything other than flat ground with this device. It is light and requires a steady hand to avoid shaking while pressing the measure button.
Always On or constant measuring function shuts off the laser and stops measuring after about 30 seconds.
85% liked the extended measuring range, but 15% found it limited
I found the tool to be extremely accurate after putting it through some paces.
At a distance of 10 meters (30 feet) in daylight, the laser is not visible, which is not acceptable for my needs.
Once I worked out the operation of the device, I found it to be extremely accurate. I measured a straight line in my living room using a standard tape measure and then by using this device and the results were identical.
The device is sensitive to the surface being aimed at. Wood and anything glossy gave up to +/-5mm errors and inconsistent readings when repeating the exact same measurement. Matt painted surfaces worked best and gave completely consistent and accurate readings, better and much easier to take than using any human operated tape measure. To achieve accuracy and consistency, I now place a piece of white copier paper and blutack if measuring against anything wood or shiny. This also helps with aim over longer distances. Used this way, I found it mm accurate to the measuring (1 mm) resolution of the machine.
The laser ruler is accurate to within a mm on my bench top. I can't discern the difference between the laser measurement and the markings on my mm ruler.
