About Laser Measure, Mileseey by RockSeed 165 Feet Digital Laser Distance Meter
Overall Feedback:
89% positive
86% praised for its high accuracy, while 14% experienced inconsistent readings
The device is sensitive to the surface being aimed at. Wood and anything glossy gave up to +/-5mm errors and inconsistent readings when repeating the exact same measurement. Matt painted surfaces worked best and gave completely consistent and accurate readings, better and much easier to take than using any human operated tape measure. To achieve accuracy and consistency, I now place a piece of white copier paper and blutack if measuring against anything wood or shiny. This also helps with aim over longer distances. Used this way, I found it mm accurate to the measuring (1 mm) resolution of the machine.
I tested the product over short, medium and long distances and found it to be very accurate when compared to my tape measure.
The device is highly accurate, measuring beyond the decimal reading of a tape measure. I can't split apart <1mm/<1/16in, making it better than relying on my eyes with a tape measure.
I tested the product on pure vertical surfaces and followed the instructions, but it reported heights that were about half of the actual height.
79% appreciated the extra features
I appreciate the Pythagorean mode feature, which allows for indirect measurements and has saved me a lot of time and effort, making complex measurements much simpler.
I love the unit display feature which Bosch doesn't provide. It's convenient for me to use the metric system from time to time. The liquid level is also a nice feature to have.
I feel that the features of this device are similar to much higher priced devices, making it a great deal.
70% praised the automatic calibration feature, although 30% experienced issues
Using the RockSeed Laser Measure has significantly streamlined my measuring process. It is accurate, easy to use, and packed with features that cater to a variety of measurement needs.
I cannot rephrase this sentence as it is already in the first person.
78% appreciated the long battery life
I did not mention anything about the battery life of the device.
78% found the display to be clear and easy to read
The backlit LCD provides clear visibility in both low-light and bright conditions, which is a huge plus.
The display is easy to read, even for someone with poor eyesight. The fractions display could be improved as it is a bit small.
The display is bright and crisp with well-placed numbers and easy-to-understand symbols.
I can display the measurement in several modes and provide specific information about the measurement in different units.
83% liked the rugged and durable design, but 17% experienced damage
The lightweight build of the device can make it feel less durable compared to more heavy-duty tools.
I deducted 1 star because the product lacks essential protection for durability.
85% found it easy to operate
The laser measure is easy to use, accurate, and affordable.
It has been easy to use and seems robust. It also appears accurate when compared with a tape measure.
I find the product to perform amazingly well with an incredible range of easy-to-use features.
84% liked the extended measuring range, but 16% found it limited
I have tested this laser distance meter over short, medium, and long distances and found it to be very accurate compared to a tape measure.
If you plan on using the pythagorean mode to calculate height between point 1 and point 2, don't buy the product.

I have used the area and volume feature to find out the size of rooms in my house and it worked. I also used the pythagoras mode for fun and it worked too.
This DTAPE 100 unit is perfect and super accurate with an error of less than 0.5mm at around 6 ft (2.122 meters), which is more than enough for my work.
