I have connected all my peripherals with no issues, including my keyboard, laptop, stereo speakers, microphone, and headset. I also use two DisplayPort monitors connected to it.
USB C is not a huge trade-off as 3.1 gen 2 supports 10Gbps, which is plenty for high poll-rate gaming keyboards and mice, 4K gaming monitor, and any docking station.

When using the laptop's own screen, I can enable smart selection of dGPU or integrated GPU, resulting in 4 or 5 hours of battery life for light workloads.
I can get 16 hours of video streaming on YouTube by updating my graphics drivers, turning off the keyboard light, setting the screen to lowest brightness, and turning on power saving mode.
The laptop's battery lasts around 5-7 hours while streaming media and browsing with some screen brightness down and the RGB keyboard at a dimmer level. But it doesn't last long when running games or resource-heavy programs like a video editor or compiling and running code.
With specific settings, I can get 16 hours of video streaming on YouTube.
