I haven't reached the full extent of the battery because I immediately enabled the battery life saver that stops charging at 80%. I consider 30% to be dead, so I lose 50% of max battery. However, I still get about 3 and a half hours with typical school use which is browser tabs with max brightness. Based on my experience, the battery life is satisfactory.
I get 6-7 hours of battery life with screen brightness around 70% and just doing mostly web/document work.
I can easily get 8+ hours of editing and compiling when programming with great battery life.
Battery life was an important factor for me and it has given at least 4 hours of constant browsing.

The 780m gpu is highly efficient and powerful.
After upgrading the RAM to 8GB, I noticed an improvement in graphics performance from the original 749 3DMark Time Spy synthetic test. While it's not a gaming computer, it's now capable of running some games at low settings.

I have found that the touchpad on this Asus laptop requires special attention. Compared to other Asus laptops, it is the smoothest touchpad I have ever used.

My combination of 6 core 12 thread Ryzen CPU with fast RAM and fast NVMe SSD work together very well to eliminate system bottlenecks.
The performance is quite good with the snappy Ryzen 5 mobile processor.
