About MOKiN USB C Laptop Docking Station Dual Monitor HDMI
80% found it compatible with devices, yet
I cannot use the docking station to power my computer as I get a slow charging error and the computer wants to go into energy saving mode. The docking station would need a USB C input of at least 85 watts for it to charge my laptop with 65 watts.
75% found it compatible with different os,yet
The adaptor is limited to only one extra screen as it is not compatible with display link.
My computer is not listed as compatible, but it's also not listed as incompatible. I'm not even sure what they are referring to in the listing (power, triple monitors?).
82% liked the data transfer speed
I compared the data transfer speeds of this laptop docking station with plugging the flash drive directly into the laptop and found them to be identical.
I have used the product to connect several USB-3 hard drives for file transfer and a large 14Tb hard drive for Time Machine backups.
The USB hub has multiple USB connections of different versions, including USB C 3.1, USB A 3.1, USB A 3.0, and USB A 2.0.
82% appreciated the durability; however
I find the item lightweight and cheap-feeling.
81% highlighted the multi-monitor support,but
The docking station cannot support a dual monitor setup despite its title implying so.
85% liked the number and types of ports, while
I found 4 normal USB ports in this docking station.
I ordered this device because it has multiple USB-C ports, which is great because it has 2 more aside from the power one.
The laptop-docking-station has many USB C ports which are not suitable for my devices that are USB A.
75% were satisfied with the power delivery, but
The power delivery pass-thru works, but my work laptop complained about low power. I suggest using my OEM's 65W power adapter for optimal usage if my Chromebook/laptop uses a 45W power adapter.
The power delivery works, but it's not enough to fully power my laptop.
The USB-C power input port works for me, but with a caveat. My Dell Precision 5570 laptop comes with a 130W USB-C charger. When I plug my laptop charger into the USB hub's power input port and then have the USB hub plugged into my laptop, the laptop's battery icon displays an exclamation point in a triangle icon. When hovered, a message Weak charging state is displayed. So my laptop is charging, but just not at the full 130W that the charger can deliver.
I need a docking station with a USB C input of at least 85 watts to charge my laptop with 65 watts, although the listing recommends 100 watts.
64% appreciated the security features,but
The dock has security features like a memory card reader and an ethernet port.
I couldn't find any information about security features of laptop-docking-stations in the review text.
If I prioritize seamless performance and uninterrupted productivity, I suggest exploring alternative docking options.
