About Dell WD15 Monitor Dock 4K with 130W Adapter
66% found it compatible with devices, yet
I originally purchased a TB16 dock for use with newer Dell laptops but it was horrible. Then I tried this one and it worked well.
I am disappointed that I have to do more research to find a tablet that works better with my laptop. It appears that the tablet is not compatible.
74% found it compatible with different os,yet
I find it easy to connect the docking station to my laptop using USB-C, but it's not practical to expect the same connector to charge, provide HDMI, and support USB mouse, keyboard, and audio simultaneously.
I am disappointed that I have to do more research to find a docking station that is compatible with my laptop.
79% liked the data transfer speed, while
The product works but only passes 95W to my laptop via usb-c when it is expecting 130w. This results in an error message every time I boot, and if I push it hard enough the battery will go down even while plugged in.
66% appreciated the durability; however
I have faced issues with the docking stations at work. Out of 15 docking stations, 6 have failed within 1-2 years of deployment. I have also mentioned the specific issues that I faced with the docking stations.
I have faced several problems with the docking station, including losing monitor connectivity, twitchy USB ports, dead battery, loss of ethernet, and power button not working. This indicates that the docking station may not be very durable.
68% were satisfied with the ease of use, althrough
This docking station is very easy to use as it does not require any special drivers or setup. It just needs to be plugged in. It is small, has plenty of ports, performs well, and just works.
When the docking station is working, it's great and you won't even notice it. However, I have faced issues when unplugging the computer from the dock, which has led to problems. Based on my experience, I can say that the docking station has its drawbacks.
74% highlighted the multi-monitor support,but
With the laptop closed, I can use the dock as a dual monitor dock or as a tri monitor with the laptop open.
Both HDMI monitors blank out randomly during the day.
I am unable to drive 2 higher resolution monitors with the docking station.
Both WD15 and D6000 docking stations do not support two monitors (VGA or DVI).

79% liked the number and types of ports, while
Either the USB-C connector starts coming apart or one or both monitors or the network port just goes out and stops working altogether.
75% were satisfied with the power delivery, but
This docking station comes with a 130W power supply, but I can use any Dell power supply that has enough power for all my devices. I should add up the numbers and subtract power for the dock itself (about 40w).
With the 180 watt adapter, I only get 95w through USB-C, which triggers a warning on my personal Precision 3520 that it's not enough wattage.
When the ethernet port on my dock doesn't work, I have no internet. This indicates that my docking station has issues with power delivery, specifically with the ethernet port.
87% appreciated the security features,but
My work laptop is heavily locked down and only an official Dell dock will work with it.
