I have observed that the cooling pad has significantly improved the cooling performance of my laptop. With the cooling pad fans on Turbo, the GPU sits at 34C and the CPU around 38C, compared to the normal idle temperatures of about 43C.
On low fan setting, the load temperature decreased from 85c to 70c.
