I think the build quality of the laptop cooling pad is great and it does not feel cheap or flimsy.

I compared the cooling performance of my laptop before and after using the cooler. Before, my laptop temperature maxed out at 100*C and never went down. After using the cooler, the temperature never went over 80*C and all 4 system fans were barely spinning to keep my laptop cool.
