I can adjust the height of the microscope according to my preference.
I modified the microscope by adding electrical tape to the camera adjustment knob and screwing down the mount to it, which raised the height of the microscope and allowed me to see more of the coin.
To see a whole coin, I need to raise the lens well above the stage. This can be done by turning the camera around and raising the stage on top of something stable. I should also set weight on the stage to prevent the device from tipping over due to the camera being reversed and out of balance.
At the lowest point, the height adjustment slips due to the plastic base.

The battery life of the microscope is really good and lasts for hours before needing a charge.
The battery life of this microscope is excellent. It stays charged for 2 weeks with daily usage of 10-15 mins.
I use it almost every day because the battery life is extremely long.
I appreciate that this microscope uses a replaceable 18650 battery instead of a proprietary one that may become obsolete in a few years.

The LEDs provide plenty of light and the zoom is high enough for me to identify counterfeit trading cards.
I'm not sure what zoom I'm using and I haven't found the option to tell me if I'm at 50X, 500X or 1000X. It would be nice to know.
When I raise the camera to view a whole coin, the light levels drop off from the 8 LEDs and the image becomes distorted. A circular coin is rendered as a very noticeably horizontally stretched oval.
