About Andonstar AD210 10.1 Inch LCD Digital Microscope for Adults
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
93% liked the easy focus adjustment, but 7% found it difficult
Adjusting the lighting for observing and capturing photos of newer coins with high reflective surfaces can be difficult.
87% appreciated the long battery life, but 13% experienced short battery life
I received a microscope with a 32 GB SSD card and everything else labelled in the ad.
My only complaint is that the microscope is not battery powered and needs to be plugged in during use.
91% praised the rugged and durable design, while 9% experienced breakage
I found the microscope to be durable with a solid metal arm holding the microscope and screen display, and a strong supportive base.
I find the build quality of the microscope to be just okay.
93% found it easy to use, but 7% found it difficult
The microscope has a sturdy metal base, a large and bright screen, and a separate light unit designed for illumination from the rear.
At the highest level, the microscope is stable and not wobbly.
I found it difficult to handle the micro SD card due to its small size and inserting it into the back of the screen housing.
91% praised the high-resolution images, while 9% experienced pixelation
The image quality is good, but not as good as what I would get from a purely optical microscope.
Adjusting the lighting for observing and capturing photos of newer coins with high reflective surfaces is difficult. Additionally, the photos are digital, not optical.
92% liked the compact and portable design, while 8% found it bulky
The microscope is portable and can be powered by a USB wall charger or a small power bank.
This microscope is not portable as it does not have a battery.
Inserting the micro SD card into the back of the screen housing is difficult due to its small size.
92% appreciated the high zoom power
I was able to zoom right up to the hair on the cricket's legs.
I have noticed that the magnification can bring a small flower to full screen size. I imagine the actual magnification may be 75 or 100 times. You can electronically multiply that by 2 or 4 with the remote control (included) or by pressing buttons on the screen.
To use this microscope at its full potential, I recommend learning how to use it properly. It may be difficult at first to find what you are looking for, but once you figure it out, it's really fun.
It's very easy for me to adjust from being basically a magnifying glass to really close in and detailed.
