The stand has a locking system which allows almost continuous height adjustment, making it ideal for musicians of all heights.
I have noticed that many stands are not adjustable enough for playing while sitting, which can be problematic for teaching lessons while maintaining good posture. However, this stand is an exception and is excellent in terms of adjustability.
Adjusting the height is easy - just pull up the lever and move the legs to the desired position.
