The variety of bits is good for me as they are shown in high contrast white on black.
I don't like to say I love a product like this, but I do like the variety of bits and the way they are organized, and my tired eyes can't read the size printed on the outside of the slot on the case.
The product arrived quickly and undamaged, and there is nothing to say about it other than the drill bits are doing a great job so far on all of my projects.
These bits are made from High Speed Steel and coated with Titanium Nitride, which is a great material for most needs.
They have not had to sharpening other than one of the 1.8th bits starting to dull, which is the most common pilot hole sizes, after using them a lot on non-ferrous metals.
Question & Answers
Are they hex shank bits?
There are 3 sets with hex shank, and of the 4 sets in this kit, 2 are screwdriving and drilling sets.
Is it possible to cut fluid for drilling into metal with these bits?
It sounds like cutting oil is meant for lubrication, but it's not. Certain types of metals or alloys cannot be drilled without cutting fluid - the bit will just spin in place.
Is it possible to use these to drill in concrete?
If you want to drill concrete, you need a hammer drill and hammer drill bits.
Is it possible to use the bits on metal and wood?
Yes they are supposed to be able as well, but I broke 2 of the drill bits while I was trying to drill through my rear view mirror.
Is the drill shank cut down enough to fit a chuck of about 1/3 inch?
The Dewalt Cobalt Drill Bit set is recommended if you will be drilling mostly very strong and thick metal.
