About MACXCOIP Cobalt Drill Bit Set, 13Pcs M35 High Speed Steel Jobber Length Drill Bit Kit
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
73% appreciated its precise drilling accuracy, though 27% experienced deviation
I found that the bits are accurate and can drill mild steel very well, but they do not perform well on carbon steel.
74% praised for its fast drilling speed, while 26% found it slow
I broke the drill bit in just 2 seconds of use and the other bits were too dull to cut anything.
75% liked its long-lasting durability, but 25% experienced frequent breakage
I have been using the drillbits for months without any problem related to snapping. Although I have read some complaints about people snapping their bits, I have not faced that problem personally.
I used the very first bit and it broke in just 2 seconds, indicating poor durability.
I tested the drill bits on thin mild steel and suggest that they should only be used on softer materials.
76% liked the comfortable grip design, while 24% found it slippery
I tried to use the drill bits to drill through a broken bolt. The bits are sharp but easy to break. I tried a couple of smaller sizes, but they all broke when I used them.
78% praised for its versatility in drilling various materials, though 22% had difficulty with metal
Cobalt is great for working with metal, but it can be brittle if not used properly.
I suggest using jobber-drill-bits on softer materials as they are not suitable for thin mild steel.
I had difficulty drilling holes in a stainless steel step tube using carbon steel bits, but the Cobalt drill bits were able to drill right through it. I personally found them to be accurate for my purpose.

The drilling speed of jobber-drill-bits is not good because cobalt or titanium, which gives them their hardness, is expensive. Sets like this tend to have thin coatings that wear off quickly.
I tried 6 different sizes of drill bits but only 1 worked as expected. The other 5 drill bits broke off, changed color or did not make any progress while drilling.
