About GMTOOLS 13Pcs Cobalt Drill Bits Set
76% appreciated its precise drilling accuracy, though 24% experienced deviation
I had difficulty drilling holes in a stainless steel step tube using carbon steel bits, but the Cobalt drill bits were able to drill right through it. I personally found them to be accurate for my purpose.
The drill bit measured 2.87mm on the micrometer instead of the required 2.77 to 2.78mm.
The bent drill bit indicates that it was never meant to be a drill bit.
I noticed duplicates and missing bit sizes while putting the bits back in the case, indicating a problem with the accuracy of the jobber-drill-bits.

75% praised for its fast drilling speed, while 25% found it slow
After ordering the cobalt bits, I was able to drill 5 holes in 10 minutes.
I have drilled 30+ holes with the second bit and it is still going strong.
The drill bit is slow and fed by the tailstock.
I couldn't make a proper hole for my 3mm hole tap with the drill bit.
76% liked its long-lasting durability, but 24% experienced frequent breakage
I am not sure about the durability of the drill bits as I only had to drill four holes and I do not know how long they would last with everyday use.
The drill bits quickly dull even when drilling one hole in 1/8" mild steel, despite being marketed for 'hard metal' and 'stainless'.
I had issues with the 3mm hole tap as the drill bit was not durable enough to properly thread the hole.
I am concerned about the product's durability because of the poor quality of the box, which caused the latch to malfunction and the bits to fall out repeatedly.

75% liked the comfortable grip design, while 25% found it slippery
I had to drill holes in a Stainless Steel step tube on my Tundra. I tried my Carbon Steel bits but they couldn't touch it. I waited for the weather to warm up so I could drill those holes without freezing. Today, I did it and they did the job very well, drilling right through the tube.
After drilling 5 holes through very hard metal, I noticed that the bits were worn out. Their effectiveness in drilling through hard metal and good ergonomic design.
I had trouble threading the hole properly with the drill bit, causing issues with the 3mm hole tap. This indicates poor ergonomics of the drill bit.
I broke the first bit probably due to the way I was using it.
72% found it resistant to heat buildup, but 28% experienced thermal damage
I was able to drill 5 holes in 10 minutes with the cobalt bits, indicating my personal experience with them. Based on my experience, I can say that the cobalt bits are efficient.
I had trouble threading the hole made using the 3mm hole tap. It seems that the drill bit couldn't handle the heat generated during tapping, causing an improper thread formation.
The drill bits are too soft and quickly dull before drilling one hole in 1/8 mild steel can be drilled.
78% praised for its versatility in drilling various materials, though 22% had difficulty with metal
I primarily work with wood and typically use bradpoint bits, but sometimes work on machines or deep drill turning blanks, so I need versatile bits.
I was unsure about buying the bits because they were cheap, but they worked great and drilled through the steel like it was ordinary steel.
The drill bits are too soft and quickly dull when drilling hard metal and stainless. Only one hole in 1/8" mild steel can be drilled.
I found the drill bit unsuitable for the 3mm hole tap, making it difficult to thread the hole.
