About Pulsar 1,200W Carrying Handle, PG1202SA Gas-Powered Portable Generator
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
82% found it easy to transport, while 18% struggled
It is easy for me to start, operate and lift.
It takes some time to get used to holding and jerking the device correctly, and the shell may turn over, making transportation a bit difficult.
65% appreciated the fuel efficiency
It takes approximately 3 hours to charge my two 500w battery stations.
63% appreciated the low maintenance, though 37% didn't
I suggest shutting down the fuel valve and letting the engine run itself out of fuel to avoid gumming up the carburetor with leftover fuel.
After each use, I shut off the gas and allow it to run dry.
The product is noisy and complicated to maintain.
70% liked the quiet operation, but 30% found it loud
The inverter-generator produces a somewhat noisy sound, similar to that of a mini bike.
The inverter-generator is quite loud. It is suggested to get an external muffler or a box to redirect the noise.
The noise level of the inverter-generator is high, making it difficult to work with neighbors. It is also a jumpy thing that requires building arm strength to start.
I could not start the inverter-generator as it got hot, indicating high noise levels causing inconvenience.
69% praised the power output, but 31% experienced fluctuations
I ran the inverter-generator all day without using any gas while cutting through 6-8in cedar with a Ryobi pole saw.
I like the product because it is lightweight and can push every bit of 1200 watts.
I advise not using the full 1200 watts as it will only provide 4 hours of juice.
66% appreciated the safety features, although 34% encountered issues
During the tropical storm, I ran the refrigerator and lights for 24 hours on 3 gallons of gas using the inverter-generator.
I found the gas leaking out of the hole constantly, making it unsafe to use.
As the speed of the engine increases, I noticed that it produces more DC and AC volts.
Rephrased: The engine produces more DC and AC volts as its speed increases.
I am concerned that the inverter-generator is dangerous to use in an RV or home.
It was very easy to transport and I used it in the back of my truck to power a tree limb trimmer to clean up after snow and wind had taken down lots of trees.
I find the generator a bit heavy for moving up and down stairs and into the bed of a truck, but I manage it by myself despite my messed up back. It rolls easily on ramps and flat surfaces with the handle and wheels.
My larger generator weighs 100 pounds, but this one only weighs 50 pounds with a full tank of gas, making it easy to transport.
