The generator is quiet and makes only a little bit more noise when applying high wattage. It's hardly noticeable for what I use it for, and even the fan blower to inflate the portable movie screen is louder than the generator.
The noise level is pretty good compared to older generators. It's not silent, but I can talk without yelling when next to it.

I have found that the generator needs to be drained of gas and oil before storing, which is inconvenient as it requires turning the generator upside down to drain gas from spout and running the engine until it runs out of gas. A better design should include taps to drain gas and oil.
