About WD_BLACK 1TB SN850P NVMe M.2 SSD Officially Licensed Storage Expansion for PS5 Consoles
Overall Feedback:
86% positive
83% praised for its rugged durability, while 17% experienced hardware failure
I find that the SSD is helpful for storing data on the console without internal storage.
I faced a major problem with the durability of the internal-solid-state-drives. I was unable to remove the second screw due to its tiny and frail nature, and I even stripped it in my first try to unscrew it.
I am dissatisfied with the durability of the internal solid-state drive. It is poorly made and should not be the standard practice. I feel cheated out of money, time, and personal experience.
At first, the games stored on my card stuttered a lot.
I had to purchase the same SSD from an electronics store as it did not work on arrival. It worked perfectly. The quality control is terrible.
I have noticed that the read speed of the internal solid state drive is not as expected. The specs on the amazon listing say Read Speed is 7300MB/s, the box says 'Up To 7300MB/s' and when I have it running on my PS5, it says the read speed is 6303 MB/s.
78% appreciated its low power consumption, though 22% noticed higher energy usage
I am concerned about the performance of the internal solid-state drive as it seems to be dropping off a bit.
My internal-solid-state-drives only have a write speed of up to 6183mbps, which is less than the advertised speed of 7300mbps.
79% praised for its lightning-fast read and write speeds, but 21% experienced slower performance
The actual read speed is 6303 MB/s, which is less than the expected speed of 7300 MB/s.

I have mentioned that the US75 comes in various capacities, including 2TB, which is currently the highest available.

I concluded that the drive controllers perform well for test programs and provide a maximum of 500mb/s write speed in real-world applications, but they are not updatable.
