About SAMSUNG 990 PRO w/Heatsink SSD 4TB
Overall Feedback:
79% positive
71% liked the generous storage capacity, but 29% found it too small
The drive has impressive reliability and generous capacity. It's a solid investment for boosting my system's performance and ensuring a seamless computing experience.
After using the drive for a couple of months with around 1.5TB written and read, I can confirm that the percentage is still 100.0%, indicating that the capacity of my internal-solid-state-drive is good.
I ordered a 990 pro 2tb and it was a good deal for a top-rated 2tb.
I got the 990 Pro 4tb to replace the 970 Evo Plus because I needed the extra terabytes for capacity.
I have lost trust in Samsung because their drives fail frequently.
67% appreciated its low power consumption, though 33% noticed higher energy usage
In less than 60 Power On Hours, my S.M.A.R.T. Health Status has already dropped 3%.
I have been experiencing issues with my 990 Pro drive in my computer. It reports 84C (184F) after a few hours to a day or so of uptime and the only way to reset it is to completely power off. A simple reboot doesn't fix it. I have tried other drives and they did not get as hot as the 990 Pro. I am worried that this drive will have more issues.
After three and a half months of very light use, my internal solid-state drive is now at 94% health.
77% praised for its lightning-fast read and write speeds, but 23% experienced slower performance
I typically get read speeds of 6500 to 6800 and write speeds of 5500 to 6500. It's rare to push the SSD to its top limits, and one won't feel a speed difference that small.
The SSD is 30% faster on random reads, but I couldn't notice it other than the benchmark.
66% appreciated the silent operation, though 34% noticed some noise
The SSD cooked for quite a long time, which is not ideal for silent operation of internal-solid-state-drives.
My drive's performance dropped by more than 20% within days of getting it.
The drive has impressive reliability and generous capacity. It's a solid investment for boosting my system's performance and ensuring a seamless computing experience.
92% praised for its lightning-fast read and write speeds

I made a very good purchase with good price, capacity and speed.
