Once formatted in PS5, I noticed that the readout speed of the advertised 7100 MB/s was slower than expected at 5595 MB/s.
When I loaded the drive, the read speed was only 5586.892 MB/S.
61% appreciated its low power consumption, though 39% noticed higher energy usage
It's a relief not having to remove games to make room for others. This indicates that our internal solid-state drive has sufficient power consumption to handle the load without causing issues.
The Corsair SSD claims to deliver up to 7,100MB/sec sequential read and 6,800MB/sec sequential write speeds for extreme gen4 storage performance on PS5.
I am confused about why the advertised speed was 15.5% off from the actual speed.
I suggest that the 2TB version is a better option than the 4TB version due to its lower price and similar performance. I am even thinking of exchanging the 4TB version as it is not worth the price.
The read speed maxes out at 6.0GB/s instead of 7.1GB/s.
The read speed was only 5586.892 MB/S, which is lower than the promised 7100 MB/s. I tried reformatting the drive a few times but could not get anywhere near the promised speed.
The speed of our internal-solid-state-drives is not as fast as claimed.
80% found it compatible with various systems, but 20% encountered compatibility issues
As a PS5 owner, the drive's read speed of over 5500MBps makes it compatible.
I bought the product because of the good reviews and because it works with my PS5.
I found that the SSD advertised as PS5 compatible did not meet the requirements and was incompatible with the console.
The internal solid-state drive needs extra firmware update despite being advertised as a fit for the PS5.
76% praised for its rugged durability, while 24% experienced hardware failure
The internal-solid-state-drive is still fast, ps5 games play flawlessly, and transferring even 100+GB games happens in seconds, not minutes.
The SSD works great with PS5 and took only 5 minutes to install and format. I used a new slotted cover to help dissipate some of the new heat this SSD will emit. It was an open box product, but it had been opened. The foam protector wasnt damaged and all of the original paperwork was included. I am very pleased with the product so far.
It's a relief not having to remove games to make room for others.
The drive arrived in perfect condition, but it did not work and was not recognized.
After returning the product, I went through some reviews with 1 star and found that few users have complained about getting 4k/5k MB/s but 3.4k is half of what they claim in their description.
68% appreciated the silent operation, though 32% noticed some noise
My brand new Gigabyte Z690 Arero G motherboard is no longer showing the drive after 12 days.
The drive was in perfect condition but it did not work or get recognized.
The drive has impressive reliability and generous capacity. It's a solid investment for boosting my system's performance and ensuring a seamless computing experience.
82% praised for its lightning-fast read and write speeds
Experiential insights by users
I need more space for games, indicating that the internal solid-state drive has good capacity.
