About Thermaltake SMART 600W ATX 12V V2.3/EPS 12V 80 Plus Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
70% appreciated the cooling mechanism, however 30% struggled
The cooling fan is very quiet and the power supply is energy efficient.
The cooling fan makes noise when the case gets hot from gaming.
89% highlighted the modularity, while 11% didn't
I have been a long-time fan and user of Thermaltake and this is the first time I have purchased a non-modular PSU in about 15 years. I have faced some issues with the non-modular PSU.
86% liked the power output stability, but 14% didn't
After installing Win 10 OS, the power output was stable and looked solid.
I replaced the power supply and now the system is stable and works great.
The power output is reliable and consistent.
The power output stability of the PSU is not up to the mark. The 12v rail has a lot more ripple than expected and under load, the RMS voltage sits around 11.4v, which is lower than the expected value. The power output drops to below 10.5v regularly, causing stability issues.
92% found the operations silent
Under high load, the PSU remained silent.
The internal power supply is essentially silent.
This power supply is virtually silent and it's the quietest one I've ever owned.
I never hear the power supply, which is powering my Intel i5-6400, 250gb Samsung Evo SSD, 1tb Toshiba HDD, RX 580 8gb XFX Videocard.
78% were satisfied with protection features
The power supply has over-current protection feature to prevent hardware damage.
I like the protective mesh around the wires as it prevents them from catching on things while pulling through the chassis.
90% appreciated the efficiency rating
After upgrading to ThermalTake SMART 700W power supply, I noticed better efficiency as the KW meter shows less power consumption by my PC. This positive experience shows the efficiency rating of internal-power-supplies.
The product is energy efficient with maximum efficiency at 50% load. The cooling fan is also quiet.
The power supply has an 80+ White certification, ensuring energy efficiency of 80% or higher, reducing power consumption and keeping electricity costs low.
