About GAMEMAX 850W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
Overall Feedback:
73% positive
75% appreciated the cooling mechanism
The fan doesn't get hot and comes on when I need it.
The fan is very quiet even at 190W and doesn't become audible.
70% appreciated the efficiency rating, yet 30% faced issues
I tested the efficiency of the power supply and found that it meets the 80+ Bronze standard. I also provided specific details of my testing, including the load and voltage levels, and how the power supply performed in terms of efficiency.
The power supply has a Bronze efficiency and usable power of around 425 watts.
70% highlighted the modularity, while 30% didn't
I am disappointed with the lack of cables that came with the power supply. It defeats the purpose of having a modular power supply, which was made to avoid dealing with extra cables.
70% liked the power output stability
The power supply provides stable power flow to all components, ensuring they receive the right amount of power without any fluctuations.
The internal power supply has stable power output and never faults or reaches max load, even with ultra/high game settings and 110% GPU power overclocking.
76% were satisfied with protection features, yet 24% weren't
I have connected the power supply to a 1500VA/900W UPS for power loss/surge protection.
I find the plugs really tough to push in and take out, which can be frustrating when adding or removing devices.
I have complained that the internal power supply's cooling mechanism is not efficient. The cheap fan used is likely to fail first, as reported in other reviews. Even when the fan was still working, it was making grinding noises and was not providing enough cooling power to prevent forced shutdowns of the PSU.
The power supply has a Zero RPM Fan Mode which ensures a quiet computing experience. The fan remains idle until it reaches a certain temperature or load, keeping noise levels to a minimum.
I have not faced any power or overheating issues with the cooling mechanism of the internal power supply.
